Värnamo started best against Landskrona, and if they had only been allowed to play with eleven players for 90 minutes (you know, like how football is SUPPOSED to be played), the Brothers would likely have won this battle.

With ten men, Värnamo found it tricky to guard their piggy bank, and Landskrona went up 2-1. However, IFK rose from the ashes like a stubborn phoenix when Voelkerling Persson shouldered in a corner – talk about using your head, or rather, shoulder! In eleven vs. ten gameplay, this was as even as my grandmother’s perfectly cut sandwich.

Wenderson and Le Roux were playing like they were in a completely different league than Landskrona’s midfielders (possibly the Champions League in their minds), and up front, Junior Adjei was having such a field day with his fullback, it looked more like a playground game than a professional match.

Landskrona attempted a decent push forward with their extra man, but it was truly concerning how they leaked chances like a rusty colander despite having the numerical advantage. The backline with Andersson and Bruzelius isn’t top-flight material – they looked about as stable as a jenga tower in an earthquake. In fact, Landskrona only has one player of top-flight caliber, and if Värnamo can put a lid on him, it’s pretty much game, set, and match

Why Landskrona Could Win/Draw

Playoffs are always a nerve-wracking affair and if any hot-head from Värnamo repeats last games red card, this game could go any way.
